CRYSTAL VOYAGER
Film available through Black Diamond

"You might be there for only a few seconds - in real time - but in your head it goes on for hours. It is an experience that's hard to describe, riding inside of a big grinding wave."

George Greenough has been around the surfing scene for as long as I have loved surfing. For those of you who do not know who he is, George was in the forefront of early films in the 60's from Oz and New Zealand. He would be ripping through waves on his little red kneeboard and doing moves that at the time were at the forefront of the sport.

This film is all about George, his friends Nat Young and others and is a mellow early 70's film. Some great surf footage throughout but not the type of film many of you will be used to. If you like the mellow films of the 60's and 70's this is one for your collection. Filmed and distributed originally in 1972 the Crystal Voyager is all about building a boat, travelling to surf spots and getting away from life and the troubles that accompany it!

One warning though, you must be in the mood for this film otherwise it will just not appeal to you. Its for those surfers who like the culture and style of yesteryear.
